Civil Engineering Site Plans
Many projects, even residential site plans, require a lot of specialized information, where it is sometimes impractical for the designer or architect to prepare the plan. This may be due in part either to the complexity of project, more regulatory requirements, or the expectations of the project owner or the public. So the site plan for your project may have to be prepared by a licensed civil engineer - even for a residential project.
Site plans, depending on the project, may show features such as property boundaries, easements, trees, rock outcroppings, driveways or parking facilities, lot slope, grading work, building location(s), building and driveway elevations, drainage provisions, surface runoff features and sediment mitigation elements for use during construction, site walls, fences, existing and new utility lines, and existing above-ground or below-ground features.
